Strolling along the street, you see a man reading the newspaper. Passing behind him, you can see his wide eyes staring down at a picture of a young girl. You wonder why he seems so shocked, that is, until you look down at the picture in the center of the page. Slapping two quarters down on the nearby news stand, you pull a paper into your hands, sitting down on a small bench, feeling the rain soak into your jeans.

Scanning the page, you find the beginning of the article entitled "A Beast Is Born". The title grips your attention and you begin to read with a fever in your brain as the reality of this news sinks in. A young high schooler has been attacked, but by what the police do not know. Your mind races as you read on. The story tells you of two puncture wounds in her neck that seem to have drawn very little blood and have clotted already with an odd substance. There is no sign of infection, but surely something must have happened to her.

The girl's parents say she's never been this way before. Suddenly she is a sports star in her school, and she seems to be immune to harm. The girl has become secluded, and her personality has changed from a happy and energized teenager, to a cruel and depressed state. She claims to be fine, and doesn't know what her parents are saying. This is the final clue for you.

The prophecy child has been found, and someone somewhere has begun the first steps for her in fulfilling it. You look up at the sky. A full moon...It will happen soon.

This child, once so normal and free, is now a captive of your species. A vampire.

The only one who can save you from this city.
