She nodded in response to his compliment, intently watching his expression and mannerisms to better understand his character. If her wary appraisal of his identity made him nervous, she wanted to know, and if possible, why.
"You need only do what you see fit. Perhaps you would like to demonstrate this warrior-like prowess you keep bragging about?"

Guardian smiled proudly, "Brag I do not, I simply speak of my talents." He spread his large wings, much wider spread than any dragon he'd ever met. Light hit them and showed off the jewel-like and weightless stones that lived in his wings, ones that had been there since his birth. Ice crystals they were, and full of magic they had come to be. He lifted himself into the air, his tail like a rudder behind him as he climbed higher and higher into the clouds. He stopped at the side of an extraordinarily tall and thick oak tree.
Stopping at the very peak of the tree, he looked down and called down in a gentle voice, "This will be my opponent." His words were somehow still soft through his loud voice, and they were his last before he began to circle the tree, searching for the weak point as any battling dragon would do with an offensive creature. Finding a soft spot in the wood, he spun and flipped in the air with lightning speed, faking to the left before zooming downward at what would be the belly of another dragon. Claws dug into the soft bark and peeled it up where the scales would come ripping off painfully from the soft skin of a dragon, leaving it exposed. He flung it to the back of his tail and cradled it there.
With extreme speed, the bark was flung into the "eyes" of the one he battled to distract and blind it momentarily. A spiral around the creature confused it and at the center where the belly was exposed, a jet of flame spewed from his maw and set the beast on fire. Beneath the scales of the dragon it moved, unquenchable to the opponent, it would soon destroy him. Guardian circled twice before diving back in and ripping the rest of the "scales" from the opposing creature and did what he knew would be a surprise to the lady dragon below.
Ice flew from his maw, red ice, freezing the bark over before he flung it upon the tree, embedded in it's "paws" and not allowing it to land for cover as it burned fiercly and painfully. Unsheathing the dagger-like claws at the tip of his tail, he threw it with pinpoint precision and brute force at the tree, slicing the width of a dragon's torso with ease as the scales burned and softened from the inside.
He had destroyed the creature with ease and won the battle. Landing swiftly, he spoke, "Of course, there are to be some defensive maneuvers when fighting a living being, but you get the idea." He knew it was the ice breath that she would have been astonished by, and he knew that she could do every last bit of what he had done with some practice, even if she did not have all of his features. A tail did not require daggers to be deadly, nor did an opponent need the scale ripped away from their body to be destroyed. But this was his skill.
And he would gladly teach her.

A raised brow was the only feature to betray emotion on her dial. She was surprised at the brutality of his actions as she had never seen such a thing in all her time with the elves. For the most part, she had been content to learn how to hunt and how to only attack in self-defense. Elvina had not wanted to become like the bloodthirsty dark dragons that had so brutally murdered her sire and dam. A challenging smirk spread across her maw as she eyed him with doubt and curiousity.
"Impressive....for a tree-killer. We all have our strengths, I suppose."
She stepped out more into the clearing, inadvertently causing the sunlight to glint across her viridian scales and make them sparkle like a sea of emeralds. Her dial lifted to the breeze, attempting to catch the numerous scents in the wind, but she had no need to fear it. She could smell no enemies in the immediate vicinity.
"Perhaps you would like to try again, Guardian?"

His eyes betrayed nothing to her as his words flowed from his maw, "And what might you suggest? There are no dragons here that are of any threat to us and therefore there is no reason to attack one. The forest is peaceful, I will show you anything you wish to see gladly. How might I prove to you the honest wishes that I have to bring you back to the draconiac race?"
((Is there something in particular he needs to do?))

((Nope))
A brilliantly toothy smile spread across her fearsome jaw as she replied,
"You just proved yourself to me. I am glad that you do not wish to attack that which is not a threat to us, for that is what all light creatures are taught, especially the elves."
Turning as if to go, she looked back towards the icy dragon,
"Are you coming?"

This mistress was strange, though not so strange as himself. As she explained herself to him, a grin spread across his maw and broke through to the surface. She had accepted his offer! Stepping quickly after her, he looked back at the tree. Holes and splinters cracked through it everywhere, and as she was turned away, he silently moved back to the dead foliage. A spark of magic flew from his fire as he breathed apon the tree. He watched as it slowly returned to its original state.
Confident she had not seen this trick, he swiftly came to a steady pace at her side.
Such magic was for another day.

With several great thrusts of her emerald wings, Elvina took to the air, and steadily gained altitude. Once she reached a wind current, she relaxed her wings to glide over the forest in a a wide circle. Inclining her snout towards Guardian, she explained,
"It is time to hunt."
She had not eaten for several days, and by now, she was fairly hungry. The scent of the numerous deer that dwelled in the forest was driving her ravenous apetite crazy with hunger.
Swooping down to hover above the trees, she quickly spotted a young stag below.
The male deer's ears flickered as he sensed his impending doom...

Guardian silently watched from the shadows, upwind of the deer to confuse him for her. He wanted to see her hunt, it would be interesting. Every dragon had a different hunting style. This wasn't exactly the perfect circumstance to watch her hunt, because it wasn't normal, him being there and making the deer try to figure out which way to run. But it aws a difficult situation, and he wondered at how she would deal with it.

Elvina did not even hesitate, nor did she give her prey any time to decide in which way to run. In one fluid motion, she tucked in her wings and dove straight towards the stag. Jaws open wide, she snatched him up by the neck and unfurled her wings to rise up above the trees with her food secured in her maw.
After finding a place to land some distance away, she crunched down on his neck with a self-satisfied grin upon her countenance. As hungry as she was, she set aside some meat, in case Guardian was hungry as well.

Guardian watched her as she swooped toward it, and then again as she killed and retrieved her prey. Spinning through the air and over the trees, he came to rest at her side, watching her place some of the meal aside. He had eaten before coming to the clearing with Samantha, and shook his head, "Eat, you are still young, and I have already had a meal this evening." Guardian shook his head and curled up beside her, watching her eat as he rested his muscles. He was tired from the walking today. In the forest, Samantha needed his protection, for she could not see threats in the shadows. He could not have flown above, and now he could do as he pleased. Freed from their bond of travel, they could live the lives of their own kind.
