Faeleen twirled a small strand of grass around her fingers as she stood under an old oak, waiting for the right centuar to pass by. Faeleen smiled as she dreamed... She wanted someone to love her, and she wanted to start a family. She sighed softly and looked around, there where no males in sight. She walked out into the open, letting the sun fall on her chestnut coat and the wind blow back her chocolate coloured hair. She reached down to pick up another strand of grass, and without thinking she intwined it with the other. Her green eyes lit as she thought. She had always been told she was one of the most beautiful centuresses to walk the earth... but was it true. She sighed and dropped her head letting a tear fall down her face... she wanted someone to love her.

Ayen's bright, unusual golden eyes were clouded with memories as he walked. He came out of his daze enough to see a beautiful centauress, toying with a few blades of grass. He instantly ran his fingers through his short, chocolate brown hair, trying to smooth it to lie a little more flat. His pale skin gleamed in the light.
"Hello," he murmured, his tail twitching as he stepped closer. She seemed to be crying, or at least a little. "Are you alright?"

Faeleen stratened up and looked at the centuar. She blushed and turned her face so she wouldn't see her tears. "Yes, I'm fine. Just a bit lonely. But thank you for asking." She wiped her tears and turned to him, her cheeks still a little red, her green eyes still a little watery. Suddenly she remembered her manners. She bowed a little and said. "My name is Faeleen. Whats yours?" It was a dull question she knew but she really wanted someone to talk to. She looked down and continued to fiddle with her blades of grass, to nervous to talk. She waited for him to speak.

Ayen's strange eyes flicked nervously around the grasslands before answering. "My name's Ayen," he said, a bit more miserably than he intended. Being alone and unable to trust a single creature left one a bit depressed, as he was. "I'm probably just as lonely as you are," he said gloomily, but then his face seemed to get brighter. He really didn't know what to say, and his nervous fingers ran through his air again. "how long have you been in this place?" he asked abruptly. Then he blushed. "I'm sorry for being rude. You don't have to answer that."

"No its okay." She said lightly. "Not long... What about you?" She noticed his nevousness and she laughed lightly. "Don't be nervous..." She said.

Ayen shrugged, "Hardly at all." His golden eyes gazed downwards, but then flickered back up to her face. "I- I haven't been around too many others for a while. Nervousness is what I usually am."

She giggled. "I find it hard to believe that such an attractive centuar could avoid centuaresses for long." She suddenly realised what she'd said and stepped back. "I-I'm sorry." She gazed down warss and continued to fiddle witht her blades of grass.

Ayen smiled. He seemed to be a whole different centaur, the change was so different. "It's fine. You're attractive yourself." he put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm glad someone actually likes to talk to me."

She looked up at him, and smiled. "Thank you. Why wouldn't i like talking to you?" She asked, moving a little closer.

Ayen's face was bleak. "No one does anymore." he looked away. "I lived in a human barn. I almost got carted off." His voice was emotionless, as if he didn't have any more feelings that could be hurt. "I liked them, and knew one of them, a little one. He cried when I left. No one else did. No one ever really talked to me even after I came here." A tear rolled down his cheek, and he quickly wiped it away.

She sighed, and lifted her hand to his cheek. "I like you." She said lightly.

He looekd slightly shocked. "You do?" he said incredulously. "Why?" His golden eyes turned to meet hers, and he covered her hand on his cheek with one of his own.

She shrugged. "I dont know." It was the honest truth, she didnt know. She felt the warmth of his hand spreading through her own and she stepped closer. "I dont know." She repeated.

Ayen smiled now with his eyes as well as his lips. "Well, I guess that makes two of us," he whispered. He kissed her on her cheek.
