Wren picked her way purposely into the grasslands. She knew she was too young for a mate, but wasn't there a chance there would be some cute guy her age here? The beautiful centauress was free in this land, away from her often over-protective brother. Not that she minded his company. Wren had followed him in here. After all, she was going to be an adult in a year. Who was to say that she couldn't keep an eye on someone now? She was often contrary, but she longed to find someone to like. Back home, there had been someone, but he had been killed by a disease. Tears trickled silently from her eyes. She wiped them away defiantly. She wanted to see someone again.

Wren didn't notice the centaur, but she heard the grass under his feet crunch. She turned and faced him. He was her age? Wow, that was strange. She brushed a nervous hand through her hair.

suddenly his insesnitive side picked up on him he said sarcastically "do you like being alone, or do you not have any friends ?" he smirked then instatly regreted his words, if he wanted to get to know her he shouldnt be mean. his mind battled with its self while he awaited her reply, probably one to say; go away or dont you have any friends your self?. he flinched imagining her reply.

Wren's eyebrows raised. He seemed to regret saying that, so she wouldn't chew him out or anything, like she would other people. "I don't have any friends," she said uncomfortably. "Why do you ask?" She said, with a hint of a challenge in it. She hoped she hadn't said the wrong thing.

Wren smiled. She didn't quite know what to say. He seemed to want to say something else though, so she didn't say anything.

(no kidding... i swear by the time they moved out; they lived mext door, I wanted to have a party!)
Wren watched the moth, but her mind was elsewhere. Her gaze strayed to the ground, and she picked up a rock that caught her eye. She toyed with it, not really sure what to say.
