Guardian flew into a large clearing, his scales gleaming in the light. He folded his wings to his sides, and lay down on the grassy field. He hoped a female dragon would meet him here soon.

The scent of sulfur and burning things reached the nostrils of all creatures in the area, and they all scattered away from the bright, burning dragon in the sky. The female dragon smiled mischieviously as she swooped down to the ground and folded her wings. A blast of hot air and smoke arose from her nostrils as she greeted the male dragon, "Hello..."

"Hello m'lady." He said in a sleepy voice. He blew ice over some burning grass and settled back to look at her.

She eyed him with a raised brow, wondering if he was bored of her. "What is your name?" she asked.

"They call me The Guardian, and what may I call you Firaga?" He was not bored with her, simply not very awake...
((Firaga means Fire Dragon))

"The Guardian," she mused, "You may call me Drisana..." (Drisana=daughter of the sun)

"Well, Drisana, what brings you here?" His voice was calm, his eyes were angry and peircing, it just didn't match.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" she questioned him authoritatively.

"And why would you? We're both dragons, should not one be as equal as the other?" His voice was wise and fatherly.

"This has nothing to do with equality..." she hissed softly and she began to circle him, "You came here first while I merely followed your scent here."

His voice became suddenly stern. "And yet respect is what you wish for then I assume? Following someone is not respect!" He snapped at her, his eyes gleaming.

She looked hurt, "I came here because I believed that you wanted a mate! Is that not what you came here for?"

"Is that not what all dragons come here for?" He stared at her, his eyes sharp.

"Yes," she replied, meeting his gaze with fiery eyes of her own.

"Then we should respect that, and eachother, without question should we not?" He knew much, and it was his self proclaimed duty to teach what he knew to others.
