Guardian twisted around through the air, his nose passing the palm tree swiftly. He landed in the sand smiling broadly.

Drisana landed lightly on the ebony sands with a content smile. If she was surprised at his win, she didn't show it. "Well done, Guardian," she congratulated him, "I knew you could race."

He bowed his head to her in respect, "Thank you Drisana," he said, "You put up a good race. Shall we call it beginners luck?" he smirked at her, his head still low, but his eyes staring up into hers.

She snorted, "You can call it whatever you want, but I shall call it 'cheating'." The last part she said with a laugh; she did not think that way at all.

He lifted his head above her, "Cheating? The only set rules were fly fast, close to the ground, and win if you can." he said teasingly, "I don't know if I'd say cheating.

Drisana snorted, sending sparks of fire from her muzzle as she tried not to laugh. Realizing she could have burned him accidentally, she ducked her head apologetically. "Sorry about that," she grinned.

"My scales are of ice. They are, to my knowledge, immune to the fire of another." he smiled at her, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Oh, that's good to hear," she laughed, averting her eyes. His gaze made her feel something that she had not felt in a long time.

He smiled at her again, but his jaws opened and he yawned loudly. He saw a small doe standing nearby and snapped it up hungrily. "Sorry, I haven't eaten in a while." he said abashedly.

He snorted a little at the thought but then asked, "Where then?" He shook himself, his scales sending ice flying from them, his tail spikes fluttering snow onto the ground.

The snow and ice flung from his body soon melted on the ebony sand and Drisana glanced over at it absentmindedly, "The Divine Forest, of course!"
