Appoloan galloped into the terra, bucking his legs excitedly. He turned his head and looked for Epona. He scanned the trees, hoping the lead centauress or centaur would not appear before she did.

Epona galloped in behind him and smiled to see such excitement in his face.

Appoloan took Epona's hand and kissed it lightly, "Are we home my dear?"

"I hope so," she replied, giving his hand an encouraging squeeze, "Has the lead centaur or centauress come yet?"

"No, I have seen no one." he replied, his eyes soft, his voice rough.

"That's strange," she mused with a quizzical frown on her face, "I wonder where he or she is...."

Watching silently from the trees, Iberia watched the couple with shadowed eyes. Her face seemed cold and calculating, but really she was just thinking. She pushed her long black hair back and stepped forward, approaching the couple on silent hooves. A light snow fell, leaving dapples on her blue coat. Iberia's expression brightened when she realized why they might be here.
Welcome to the Misty Forest. Iberia said, sweeping her arm out to show her lands. What is your business here? The tall centauress said, her eyes kind, but wise. If they were here to join, she wouldn't be alone any longer. She would finally have others to talk to, even if [as they most likely would] they only talked to each other.
Iberia let none of her racing thoughts show through on her ivory face. Instead, she showed only polite interest. Being to- well, mostly herself- would probably scare others off instead of welcoming them.

Startled from her thoughts, Epona looked up to examine the lead centauress. Glancing briefly up at Appoloan, she smiled and replied, "We wish to join your herd."

Iberia smiled. Her suspicions had been correct! They had wanted to join. She would no longer be alone... And since they were the first. . . Maybe they would be the betas. She was sure they would be good for the job. They would take over as leaders if she was unable to.
The blue roan centauress chuckled. You may join my herd. She said, locking her hands behind her back. What are your names? She tossed a quick glance at both of them, then seemed to be watching both at the same time, to see who would speak first.

Appoloan took his chance and spoke, "I am Appoloan, named for the God of the Sun." his chest puffed out proudly at his namesake and he smiled. "This is Epona. It is a pleasure to be a part of your herd."
A breeze blew his hair about, snow flecking his coat softly. It was a lovely evening, and darkness was falling fast, but he was determined to become a trusted herdmate of this centauress, and must not become distracted.

Iberia smiled. []It is also a pleasure to have you in this herd.[/b] The snow picked up, letting bigger snowflakes fall far more swiftly than before. I must hurry before it gets too bad... She thought.
The centauress looked at each Appoloan and Epona, far more than she had before. They would do. Would you like to be the betas in this herd? She asked abruptly.

Appoloan was surprised at her sudden question, but he did not let it show. He spoke for both of them, hoping his answer was ok with Epona. "Yes of course." He bowed. "We will serve you well."
As the snow picked up, his hands began to get cold, and his legs quivered in the freezing air. He looked around, "Do you have a main living place?" Just our of curiosity, that was his only reason for the question.

Iberia let her happiness show on her face at last. I trust you both with the responsibility. She said, looking at both Epona and Appoloan. She chuckled a bit, noticing that the air was much more chilly than before.
At Appoloan's question, she nodded. She had forgotten that many weren't used to the cold as she was. It's this way. Iberia said, moving off in a westerly direction. When she reached the stand of trees that edged the clearing they were standing in, she turned back. Coming?

Appoloan shivered and galloped after Iberia, his tail flowing on the wind. He stopped at the trees, waiting for Epona to follow. It was to cold to leave her out here alone, at least by his standards.
