((sorry guys, I've been busy with applications for scholarships and financial aid, uggh))
Epona galloped up beside Appoloa on shivering limbs. She tried not to let the cold get to her, but she could not entirely ignore it. This climate was much different than the warm, tropical climate she had come from. She sidled closer to Appoloan, hoping to share their body heat. With a grateful smile, Epona looked towards Iberia, "Thank you so much for letting us join."

Appoloan nodded, "Yes, thank you. We will not let you down." He smiled and took Epona's hand, squeezing it gently.

Iberia smiled. "I doubt you would." She led them to the large cave that she had previously lived in alone, and gestured inside. "You must be cold. Make yourselves at home." She blinked gratefully at the pair. They were so happy together. What she wouldn't give to be with... Sighing, she shook her head to clear her mind, throwing her long hair back. "Well, I guess I'll see you later," she said, winking, and she melted into the shadows of the forest.

Epona smiled and watched the lead centauress disappear into the shadows. Looking back up at Appoloan with brows arched, she replied, "It's much warmer in here..."

Appoloan nodded slowly, "Yes," he said, "Warmer and roomier. I think we'll like it just fine here." His hooves moved across the stony floor with soft clipping sounds. He looked around, brushing a curtain of moss away to find a small pool of water surrounded by grass, the stone ending maybe a yard away from the water. A tiny waterfall was the source of the liquid crystal shining in the middle of the cave.

Epona followed him around the cave and gazed around their new home. It was perfect....She could not think of a better place to raise their children together. A quick blush spread across her face as she wondered if Appoloan had ever thought about their future offspring. Seeing him lost in thought, she leaned up and kissed his cheek tenderly, "What are you thinking of, Appoloan?"

Apolloan looked down and placed his arm around her shoulders, "I am thinking that perhaps at last, we may have a home to raise our children at when they come." His eyes wandered from the far wall down to Epona's own lovely orbs. He smiled, "And I suppose you were thinking the same?" His question was more a statement to be truthful, but he could see that she had been wondering about that aswell.

Epona blushed again and nodded, "Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking about." She glanced away, though, as she thought about their lead centauress, "But I was also thinking about Iberia....She seems so lonely. I wonder, Appoloan, whatever happened to her mate?"

Appoloan nodded, "She is very alone." he replied gently, "But she shall not be for much longer. She has us now. And we shall be like her family even if she should choose to be annoyed with us at any time." He brushed Epona's cheek with his fingers, "Epona..." he whispered her name, "Epona..."

She smiled and nodded in agreement with his reply. In response to his gentle caress of her cheek, she captured his hand with her own and placed a warm kiss to his palm, "Did you know that I love you, Appoloan?"

He gave a warm smile and leaned in to kiss her gently. When he pulled back he spoke quietly, "Not possibly as much as I love you."

He held her closely and kissed her cheek, brushing his finger across her jawline and lips. "I do."

Her eyes closed at the gentle caress and a content smile spread across her face. "Hmm...I'll let you win this one," she teased, her eyelids fluttering open before leaning in to press her lips to his.

Appoloan pulled her tight to his chest and allowed his lips to part slightly, asking silently a question he knew she would understand. His hands ran down her back to her soft pelt and he leaned his head in farther, pressing into the gesture and letting his eyes close softly.
