evermind snorted. tell me then, what is the purpose of blood sucking flies then?? a unseen wind ruffled his hair once more and he shook his head trying to win the impossible battle of getting his hair out of his purple eyes.

Tinúviel shook her head with a look of mock disgust on her face, "Elvina, don't go into detail about how you love to munch on bugs...."

unlike most evermind did not laugh instead his face remainded serous. phosheria liked eating insects, especially wasps and praying mantises.

Elvina looked a little disappointed. She had been expecting a much different reaction.
"Was Phospheria your dragon friend?" Tinúviel asked gently.

he wasn't sure, even after decades of silence he could tell the truth, his and Phosheria's story. tension griped at his mind like claws of a wild animal, unseen yet destructive, tearing his soul apart. words and memories flooded him after the attack. his left hand clutched his right with a death grip and his shoulder gave an involuntary flinch. he looked up, his eyes calm compared to the battle inside of him.
slowly he sucked in his breath, calming down his paranoia.
it is a long story... he started looking suddenly up to the sky. and i have never told any one it. some parts i have forgotten like my true name, and some my mind has blocked out.
I raised phosheria from a hatchling, her mother had gotten rabies and had stampled out her other hatchlings. originally i was going to raise her till she could care for herself then let her be, go on my own path but i had bonded with her too well by then to let her go. i had saved her life as a hatchling and she paid me back three times before she reached the age of one. she was an excellent swimmer, even more skilled in flying. countless years later we were recruited into the kings army against a powerful enemy. while in camp i discovered our own dragons were disappearing to be found later slaughtered and burned. there was also a high number of suicides among those of happy will. it was confusing and disastrous in the out come of the battle. only me and a few others remained at the end. phosheria was no were to be seen when i layed dying. suddenly out in the haze of the blood red sky i saw her, the enemy king upon her back. she attacked me when i had no defense. i was on the verge of death when Lucia and Severus suddenly appeared and attacked phospheria and the king. the king was killed instantly but phospheria was slower to die. eventually she was so severely wounded they let her crawl away. severous said she died while Lucia thinks she is still alive. his face was dark an angry gleam on it.
strangely enough i still miss her he finished lamely. ((i had a lot to muse lmao)) |

Elvina's expression changed several times during Evermind's story, but she did not dare tell how his story and hers were connected.
Tinúviel listened to his story calmly and patiently, waiting for him to finish before she spoke, "Of course, you loved her like she was your own sister. It was neither her fault or yours that caused her to turn on you. There have been many instances in which powerful kings have mind-controlled dragons or other great creatures."
